Rounding Up

I'm needing to do a bit of catching up here.  We were away watching the British Superbikes over the weekend and I've got a bit out of sync.

On Friday I did pretty well.  I did a short run in the morning, I wasn't feeling anything like as speedy as the day before.  Really I was just out there because it was a pleasant morning and it was a nice way to begin the day.  In the afternoon things were a bit more serious.  I got out of school quickly enough to reach the gym in time for the spin class.  As usual I enjoyed it and ended up decidedly hot and sweaty.  Once that was done I went into the gym to get on the treadmill.  I did 17 minutes at 10kph, a brick from the spin.  Then I did my next speed session.  I did a minute at 6kph (I didn't exactly need a warm up after all that had gone before) then 1K at 10.6kph.  I followed that with 2 minutes at 6kph and completed the cycle 4 times.  It felt fine, I was able to do it with confidence.

Monday I didn't train because I just didn't feel like it in the morning and I was otherwise engaged in the afternoon.  I was watching April compete in an inter-schools sports day, she was taking part in the girls relay for her year group.  She did really well and was all smiles again - excellent.

Today I had a good bike ride this morning, I was out for 63 minutes doing a nice steady ride.  I felt fine and enjoyed being out there.  Wakefield is less than a week away now, so I'm not going to overdo it this week.  Taper time!
